Calgary artist represents Canada at prestigious Salon de la Societe Nationale des Beaux Arts in Paris
Work by Calgary visual artist, Jim Pescott, has been selected for the prestigious Saloon 2011 SNBA in Paris to be held at the Carrousel du Louvre, in Paris, December 8-11, 2011. The exhibition involves a dozen delegations from around the world: it is one of the most prestigious international exhibitions of contemporary art: Canada has been a participant since 2004. Pescott, a painter, joins a delegation of Canadian artists who will attend the opening ceremony hosted by French president, Nicolas Sarkozy.
